Write Something Worth Reading

I’ve been thinking heaps about the kind of posts I want to upload to this blog, especially since the amount of followers I now have is in the realm of oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-believe-it (you guys seriously rock!). And I’ve decided that I’m going to try and keep things interesting while also shaking it up a bit. I’ve had numerous comments on my posts so far, and I’ve also received an overwhelming amount of emails from you wonderful people with all kinds of questions and hearty congratulations, etc…

I want this blog to be about stuff that you want to actually read. I mean, I figure you follow me for a reason, and I feel like it’s my ‘duty’ to meet those expectations. I sometimes get distracted super-easily, so my posts will often still be about whatever randomness takes my fancy, but otherwise I’m going to try for regular updates in a style like this:

Me-Me-Me Mondays:

A friend from work suggested that some people might actually want a little more insight into who I am as a person. This, naturally, weirded me out since I consider myself to be somewhat… erm… boring. (*Shrugs* It’s true!)… But, well, I’ve also received a lot – a lot – of emails recently with questions about me, about my writing, about anything and everything. So, I figure it might be a good idea to share the answers to those questions in these posts. Other times I might choose to post a personal anecdote about my life (like how I’m allergic to avocado but it doesn’t matter since I didn’t taste it for the first time until I was seventeen so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on much).

If you have a question you want answered – anything from writing stuff, to what I ate for lunch on September 17th, 1997, to the meaning of life (yikes!), then please email me with the subject title “QUESTION” to:

lynette [dot] noni [at] gmail [dot] com

I love quirky questions, so the randomer the better (and yes, I know ‘randomer’ isn’t a real word… but it works). Make sure if you email me that you include a link to your own blog, and I’ll add it to my post if your question is one I choose to answer publically. (But sadly, I probably won’t be able to answer all the questions I receive… So, again, the more interesting yours is, the more likely I’ll pick it to respond to!)

Writerly Wednesdays:

These posts will be about all things writing/publishing/editing related. They might be informative, discussing things I’ve learned so far in my journey towards being published, including advice or cool info I’ve discovered along the way… Or the posts might be more personal in nature, talking specifically about what’s going on with my own writing world. (On that, I’m due to start working with my actual, publisher-appointed editor soon! SQUEEEEEE!!)

Fandom Fridays:

This will be where I talk about things I love, things that make my world a happier place, and things I’d recommend other people to at least try once (and more likely than not, you’ll be hooked after that!). These posts will have me going all fan-geek about anything from books (*happy sigh*) to TV shows and movies, yummy food and recipes, places to visit, music, people in my life… Anything. The sky’s the limit, but it’ll all be wicked-sweet stuff that I love (and hopefully you’ll love too!).

… So, that’s what I’ve come up with for this blog. And all this came from the Benjamin Franklin quote: “Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing.” As for me? I’m hoping to do both. And I also hope you continue to enjoy experiencing the journey with me!

What are your thoughts? Do you think this will work? Advice? Suggestions? Nods of agreement?
